About Amanda Seaver

I am a limited licensed master level clinician under the supervision of Alyssa Seeger and Jim Kolbe. I received my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I specialize in working with elementary aged children, adolescents and adults who struggle with any combination of the following: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, anger, grief, and behavioral problems. I have specialized experience and a heart for working with individuals who have suffered trauma. I use a combination of theoretical approaches to meet my clients where they are at including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I am always learning and reading to enrich my knowledge base and to expand my skill set to provide my clients with compassionate, research and evidence-based treatment options. I view therapy as a collaborative effort working with clients to create goals and build skills that reflect a future full of hope and happiness.
