About Sarah Fouser LLPC

Sarah Going to counseling can feel scary and overwhelming. It is common to have anxiety about reaching out for help. It's ok to feel that way. At Cornerstone Counseling, we work hard to be a safe landing place for your uneasiness.

My name is Sarah Fouser. I understand the uncertainty of finding the right help for ourselves or for our loved ones. After years of working closely with struggling families in various capacities and being a stay-at-home mom, I chose to become a licensed counselor to try and help. My degree in clinical mental health counseling is from Concordia University Irvine. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC) under the supervision of Jim Kolbe, LPC.

Making clients feel safe and understood is my mission. I work with my clients to reach their goals for stronger mental health and improved relationships. A few areas I specialize in are marital difficulties, interpersonal relationship issues, parenting, anxiety, depression, spiritual growth, mood disorders, anger management, coping with stress, and social anxiety. I am level 2 trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I maintain an active membership with the American Counseling Association so I can continually develop my counseling skills and pursue educational courses.

Spending time with family and friends is my favorite thing to do. I also enjoy music, reading, audiobooks, and being outdoors, especially in the Michigan summers.
