About Jake Fields, LPC

If you are looking for progress in your life, therapy with me could be one of the best investments of your time. I speak with many clients who have worked with multiple therapists yet still feel stuck or unable to move forward. My approach is well-balanced: I listen carefully, validate your experiences, and actively help you problem-solve. Clients often describe me as very relatable, in part because of my own life experiences.

I have been divorced, and I co-parent. I have battled depression and anxiety, and I was diagnosed with ADHD at 31 years old. These personal experiences, combined with a wide range of professional experiences, have prepared me to walk alongside people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances with understanding and empathy.

Therapists are meant to be professionals who help guide and support clients as they learn new skills and gain fresh perspectives on their lives and the changes they want to make. I care deeply about helping others and find genuine joy in seeing people climb out of struggles they may have been facing for years. My approach to therapy is intentional and direct, while also remaining warm, welcoming, and personable. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills to help clients navigate whatever challenges they are experiencing.

I understand that therapy can come with stigma, preconceived notions, or even negative experiences from past attempts to get help. I promise that therapy with me will be different. I look forward to working with you if you decide to reach out.
